Silverstein Alpharetta Concert reviews
Good but not Great !
I have been a devoted Matthews Fan for a long time and have attended 6 concerts. I enjoyed this show, which was good for the true diehard fan who has many of the earlier albums. However, when we brought along a couple who were fans of D. Matthews Band but had never seen them before, they were not all that impressed. I think Dave should have played some of the big time radio hit songs that won him so many fans, but they were missing from this show. It was also disappointing to see Tim Reynolds playing electric guitar all night, as he is so talented. I think it would have been better to have Silverstein perform some acoustic songs on chairs in front of the stage. Despite all this, I am still a fan, but I found the show to be quite vanilla for a 25 year anniversary show. I preferred last year's show, where the performance was divided between rock and acoustic.
